LDS WOMAN'S RESEARCH LEADS TO WORKING PRACTICE CHANGES IN HEARING SERVICES 

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in Bangor, County Down, Wendy Martin is an educational audiologist and Head of Service for the Sensory Impaired in the South East Region of the Education Authority (for Northern Ireland).

Wendy is currently completing an MSc in Educational Audiology with the Mary Hare Training & University of Hertfordshire. 

Recently, the British Academy of Audiology awarded her with the best overall performance in the current academic year. Wendy was nominated for this award from every student who is studying any category of audiology course within the UK.

As a direct result of Wendy’s research and findings, some working practices in clinic and schools have been changed.

Wendy is married to Keith and they have two daughters, Ellie and Rosie.
