The Field is White

Elders Holcomb and Rasmussen of the Scotland/Ireland Mission can testify that with the Lord’s help and the support of Branch members, sharing the gospel brings joy to all involved.  Working in a small Branch in Sligo, Ireland, these two young missionaries saw the fruits of their labours on February 19th 2011 when Steve Fakeye from Nigeria and Josephine Scanlon from Sligo were baptised in the icy cold Glencar Lake.

The whole Sligo Branch was involved in teaching the truths of the restored gospel to these new converts and most Branch Members were able to attend the baptism. Members and missionaries jointly fasted and prayed that Steve and Josephine would receive a testimony of the truthfulness of the restoration.

What joy this brought into the lives of members and missionaries alike as the missionary spirit filtered through the Sligo Branch of the Church and both Elders testified that this was one of the highlights of their mission.
